Trivia

Due to a mastering problem, in all physical copies of the album and digipack first edition, track 13 is the instrumental version of Serenade of Self-Destruction instead of the track with vocals. Nuclear Blast Records made the track with vocals available as a free download. The band apologized and joked that “everybody who gets the current CD will have a unique pressing which might end up being a collectors item”.

Simone’s favourite songs are Storm the Sorrow and Serenade of Self-Destruction.

“It’s very much a realistic record lyric wise. It’s all very straight forward and about the hard things in life. “Requiem for the Indifferent” is about the indifferent people who nowadays don’t care about what’s happening in the world. They keep their eyes shut and they live in their own little worlds. They need to open up their eyes, wake up, and try to unite with the rest of the world to make it a better place.” – Simone Simons
