“The makers of the video have interpreted “The Phantom Agony” as fear. In the video, I’m searching for my fears. That’s why I’m looking around me all the time. The rest of the band, as torturers, represent my fear. Eventually it turned that that I follow my own fear, because it doesn’t exist (“A Phantom Agony”). Then the torturers are dead, because my fear doesn’t exist. Then I commit suicide by falling in the water.” – Simone Simons
